Our Story
The year was 1971, a young man from Shawano, Wisconsin graduated from Stout State University with a wife and young son. He was first employed by a home building company in Wausau, WI that produced single family and multi family homes. Bohm worked his way through the company and soon accepted a transfer, moving his young family from Wausau to Ottumba, Iowa.
After a year in Iowa, this man Randy Bohm and his wife Mary and two sons, realized they longed for a place to call home. Since Shawano, Wisconsin was home, home is where they went. As fate would have it, a home dealership was available. In September of 1973 Randy and Mary Bohm founded Bohm Builders Incorporated in Shawano, Wisconsin. They opened for business that very same month and started bringing the people of Northeast Wisconsin to the comport of home.
In the early 1990s Randy and Marys children, Pat and Chris, officially joined the business. Being raised by parents that understood the value of hard work, Pay and Chris pride themselves on a no nonsense blue collar approach.
Since 1973 Bohm Builders has continued to bring Northeast Wisconsin residents home. Bohm Builders has built over 800 new homes. Home has build solid residential homes, college dormitories, hotels, dental offices, chiropractic offices, apartment buildings and a Boy Scout lodge.
Over the years some of Bohms clients have had two even three homes built by Bohm Builders, We've also built solid homes for our customers sons and daughters and relatives. Bohm Builders is a proven home builder that has stood the test of time. A true full service builder.
To help you build your dreams Bohm Builders teamed up with Golden Eagle Log Homes of Wisconsin Rapids in the fall of 2007 and Envision Custom Component Homes the summer of 2010. Combined with our custom stick built construction this forms a trifecta of building options. A true full service builder.

Our Staff
Randy Bohm - President
Randy Bohm founded Bohm Builders with his wife Mary in 1973. They were both born and raised in the Shawano Area. Randy and Mary have helped hundreds of families build their dream in the Northern Wisconsin. They believe its a great place to call home. Randy has provided oversight for the 800+ homes built solid since 1973. His experience and skill is evident from initial consultations to excavating and to closings. When randy hands you the keys, you understand how his drive and dedication has brought Bohm Builders to an award- winning level. Randy is a charter member of the Wolf River Builders Association and serves and builders Directions on the Board of Directors. He is also very involved in the community. Randy enjoys his home on the Wolf River as well as Deer and Turkey Hunting.
Pat Bohm - Vice President
Pat officially started with Bohm Builders in 1991, but has unofficially worked for Bohm Builders since the late 70s as CLM (Chief Lawn Mower). Pats knowledge of the building industry and his dedication to the company are in integral part of this family business.
Pat's proven sales record shows his exception rapport with with each customer. His continuity is visible from initial consult to final closing. Pat enjoys fly fishing, any kind of canoeing or kayaking, gardening and being at home on the Red River.
Mary Bohm - Company Officer
Mary has been a vital part of Bohm Builders since its incorporation in 1973. For 37 years Mary has skillfully handled all advertising, marketing, customer service and closings.
Mary's had work and constancy has helped many happy homeowners go from vacant land to their new home. Mary's soft demeanor make the building process enjoyable, easy and stress free. Mary enjoys her family time and peace with her hobby farm and flower gardens
Jerry Doucha - Sales Support, Lakewood Office
Jerry has been providing Sales support from our Lakewood office since 2003. Jerry also handles client inquiries. Jerry s personality and dedication are a great contribution to our team. If you don't know Jerry, you've never been to Lakewood.
Scott Butler - Sales Consultant
Scott joined Bohm Builders after working in the paper industry in the Fox Valley. Scott is blessed with an analytical mind and is a real problem solver. Scoot will leave no stone unturned when you work with him your dream home. Scott is a neighbors neighbor and enjoys his empty nester years on Maiden River.
Chris Bohm - Crew Foreman
Chris joined Bohm Builders in 1990. Chris brings exceptional craftsmanship along with outstanding leadership to Bohm Builders. His skills and respect for the craft has earned the trust of many happy homeowners. Chris will chase Musky's to the end of the earth and enjoys hunting and spending time at his hunting land with his wife and sons cutting wood.
Jill Kamke - Reception and Office Administration
Jill is a recent addition to Bohm Builders. She brings a steady and diligent demeanor. Jill is usually the first person you will talk to when calling or visiting Bohm Builders in Shawano. Jill and her husband enjoy time with their children and grandchildren.
Jim Bohr - Construction Manager/Expeditor
You will find evidence of Jim's hard work and loyalty – all over Northeast Wisconsin. Him has his hand's in all aspects of home construction. Jim's expertise is scheduling and managing construction products and expediting all building operations. Jim is an avid deer hunter, kayaker, and avid salmon fisherman.
